Velociraptors in Mongolia

From being a big nerd, and reading a lot of books by top paleontologists, I learned that Velociraptor was even more bird-like in its outward appearance than its popular, scaly-skinned movie image has implied. In reality, this dinosaur's body was covered with short, fur-like feathers, and its snout was actually a hard beak with teeth. I thought that was pretty cool so I tried to depict them almost like a flock of buzzards, perched on a rock, watching the ladscape for something to swoop down on and eat. Like my other dinosaur illustrations, this one is also mixed media. But in this case, I only used pen and ink to nail down the shapes of the animals. Almost everything else is entirely an acrylic painting.
