You aren't a true horror fan if you don't have some love in your heart for Jason Voorhees. The character has had a lot of different incarnations over the course of the "Friday the 13th" film series. My depiction here is based on his appearance in "Friday the 13th Part 3".
To tell the truth, I have to say that "Part 2" is probably the scariest film in the series, and "Part 4" is probably the best-made film in the series (and my personal favorite)... but "Part 3" was the first film in the series that I was old enough to actually see in the theater when it came out. And because of that, I suppose, it was also the one that made the strongest impression on me, and defined who Jason Voorhees is, in my mind. So that's the reason why, whenever I've drawn him, he always comes out looking like he did in "Part 3".
Jason knows how to crash a party, doesn't he? Love the detail of having a the chick reading horror comics.
I think I might actually have a little too much love for Jason. I just can't help but feel sorry him, given his backstory and all. I loved the portrayal of Jason in "Part 3", but I also have a spot for Kane Hodder's portrayal and Ken Kirzinger in "Freddy vs. Jason."
