Trick 'r' Treat (tribute3) by BryanBaugh Trick 'r' Treat (tribute3) by BryanBaugh
Another tribute to the 2007 movie, "Trick 'r' Treat". I've been drawing these for a client who has commissioned me for a series of illustrations based on this movie. I can't complain about that! I love "Trick 'r' Treat"!

You know, I just recently watched pumpkinhead a few days ago and I noticed that pumpkinhead's face when he's in his fetal form looks a lot like Sam's face. I wonder if it's a tribute or even better, a connection. Heh heh

Yeah, I'd love to see these all finished. I really enjoyed that movie, and it's just about that time of year again!

If you are ever inclined to let someone else colour some of your work, I've always thought you work would be really fun to colour.

Nice touch with the open mouth, looks a lot more menacing than what's actually under that hood.

Yeah at the very end of the movie his mask gets ripped and hangs open like a mouth... I agree, that look is even creepier than his actual face.

It very much reminds me of Creepshow and some of the old anthology types of movies Trilogy Of Terror and so on theres something great about getting good short stories in motion picture form.

I'm not familiar with this one...the only "Trick 'R' Treat" I know is the one about the teenager who inadvertently calls up the murderous ghost of the recently-dead heavy metal rocker;Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne both appear in it.

Haha! Hey friend I know where you are coming from. I was a 1980's kid and I remember very well the movie made back then, called "Trick OR Treat"... about the demonic heavy metal singer... and yes Ozzy was in it, playing a priest who criticizes heavy metal music... it was one of the cheezy, lesser horror films of the mid-80's, but good, goofy fun.

The film I'm drawing here, is from 2007 and it was called "Trick 'r' Treat", and it is a MUCH better-quality, and MUCH more fun movie, with a TOTALLY different kind of Halloween-themed story. You should check it out. It's one of the few new horror movies to come out in the 21st Century that I would honestly call a modern classic.

But yeah, the demonic heavy metal horror movie from the 80's was called "Trick OR Treat"... This movie is "Trick 'R' Treat".

One letter in the title makes all the difference in the world I guess! Haha.

Freaking love this film. Halloween I'm going to binge on horror, adding this and maybe Cabin in the Woods to the list.

Yes - well said. I can understand how "normal people" might miss some of the good horror movies... if horror is not your favorite genre and you aren't always keeping your eyes peeled for new ones... But this movie came out 5 years ago, and to this day I still meet a lot of horror fans who don't know about "Trick 'r' Treat". It's a damn shame.

Oh yeh, there is a lot of movies that have pasted people by, like "The Wilderness" "Tucker and Dale vs Evil" "Outpost" "House of the Devil" "Stakeland" and "Kill List" a lot of them had limited releases. You have to dig a bit to find these, most people see them as straight to DVD crap but they are so wrong.

Yeh its a shame that rubbish horror gets a wide cinema release and good ones get put on DVD next to Cabin Fever 2 and Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus. Sad day sad day.
