About 6 months ago I was invited to participate in a big, fat, Special Issue comic book, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Ben Edlund's popular superhero-parody series "The Tick".
The idea was to get a long list of different comic book artists and writers together and have everybody do their own one-page story about this character.
So I wrote, drew, and colored this little one-page gag about The Tick rescuing a couple of teenagers from a haunted house... in The Tick's own, unique way of course!
I hear the book is out in stores now so I guess it's okay to post my page online. Besides, I seriously doubt that "giving away" my little one-page gag could possibly hurt sales or anything, when you have other folks like this involved:
Contributors: Ben Edlund; Richard Edlund; Erik Valdez y Alanis; Kevin Atkinson; Jason Burns; Zander Cannon; Jerry Carr; Benito Cereno; Gabe Crate; Jef Czekaj; Dave Garcia; Fred Hembeck; David Hopkins; Paul Hornschemier; Josh Howard; Jason Jensen; Matt Kindt; Brian Miller; Terry Moore; Bob Polio; Chris Reilly; Brock Rizy; Trina Robbins; Scott Shaw; George Suarez; Anne Timmons; Robert Tinnell; Cory Walker; Sean Wang; Mark Wheatley; Bill Tucci; Mark McKenna; Alan Hopkins; Bill Sienkiewicz
Cover Art: Simon Bisley; Arthur Suydam
Thanks! I hope the actual book looks good! The publisher hasn't sent me copies yet. The artists are always the last ones to see their own work in print, haha.
Yeah, I think they have 2 different alternate covers or something. Or maybe a different cover on each side. I'm not sure, I haven't seen the book in print yet!

When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
