My Art Submission to the "Witches of East End" Edgar Allan Poe Contest being hosted by Deviant Art this month.
UPDATE:
Contest's over, the winners have been announced, and... oh well, my piece didn't make it.
I only took a shot at this contest because it seemed like the subject matter was so "right up my alley", and I'd always wanted to do some Poe artwork, so why not? Seemed like the perfect excuse.

To be honest, I didn't expect to win anyway. Just because, I've never had any luck with art contests!
Wait a minute - check that - In the 6th Grade I won a "Haunted House Poster Art Contest" at my elementary school. As my prize I got a free admission pass to our local small town haunted house, that was good for the whole Halloween season. ...But that was the last time I ever won anything, in any art contest! Even though I entered several more art contests through high school and college and beyond - no dice! Just can't seem to break the pattern. You think YOU'VE got problems... I've been on an "Art Contest Losing Streak" since 6th grade!! Yeesh!!
Haha!

Well anyway...
