I have always been a huge, huge fan of John Carpenter's movie "The Fog" (1979). It's not a movie that people bring up very often when talking about Carpenter films but it was always one of my favorites of his. It's sort of a forgotten classic in a lot of ways.

...And before anybody asks, no, I haven't seen the remake that came out a few years ago and don't have any opinion on it!

I remember this part. It was right at the point I was thinking, "What, that's it?" It wasn't. ^w^

i think you captured this moment very well, but shouldnt it have been a sword?

i mean it was pirat ghosts/spirits after all, oh well i actually cant remember, its been a few years ..... more than a few

i dont care what you make on here, i will comment on the skills used to make your work of art, not what it is.
Yeah at the end of the movie Blake actually kills Hal Holbrook with his sword (notice I do have Blake's sword hanging at his waist)... But the zombie pirates in the film are always shown with those scary freakin' meat hooks, too... and that's the image that always sticks in my mind whenever I think of The Fog.

Besides, if you look at my other movie tribute illos you'll notice they are never intended as exact recreations of the exact scene from the film, so much as a mood piece that sums up the overall idea of the movie (or my overall impression of the movie anyway!)

Excellent. Love your work, as always.

As for the remake, I recommend not seeing it. That's some time in my life I want back.
