This is a concept drawing for my 2010 Halloween costume. When I was a kid, the last week leading up to Halloween was such an exciting time. Me and my friends would have a million plans and would of course, spend weeks making elaborate costumes. Another tradition back then, was to make endless drawings of whatever character we planned to be on Halloween night. These drawings were usually done while sitting in some boring class at school.
Somehow, over the years I never outgrew Halloween, or dressing up as a monster on Trick Or Treat night. But somewhere along the way I stopped doing the crazy drawings of my intended character/costume. Not on purpose... Maybe I just got too busy with my job and other grown up stuff.
This year, for Halloween 2010, my plan is to go as... "A GORILLA WHO RIPS HUMAN HEADS OFF"!!
I've been putting the costume together piece-by-piece and it's pretty cool. I did this drawing back in late September... partly to figure out the look of the costume, but also out of pure, childish enthusiasm. ...I guess I'll get back to being a mature adult on November 1st! Haha.
