I used to draw superheroes all the time when I was a teenager and "trying to learn how to draw comics". So this is something of a throwback for me.

I like the neon Tron like pin stripes you gave the costume. Almost looks like an Iron Man designed widow suit.

Well... (WARNING: NERD ALERT!!!)... This look is somewhat inspired by Black Widow's suit in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, where she had the glowing blue tron lines down her arms and legs. I forget what the story-logic reason was, but somehow her suit in that movie was internally charged with... Electricity? Tesseract energy?? I forget... But anyway, whatever the power source was, it was (yes, you guessed right) almost certainly designed by Tony Stark Enterprises and allowed her to do her super cool "Widow's Sting" (electric shock when she punches someone).

To be fair, Avengers 2 is not the best Marvel movie (a big drop in quality from the near perfect first Avengers movie in my opinion!) ...and not the best Black Widow ever looked, either... Cool as those tron lines were, that version of the suit was a bit bulky. I much prefer her sleeker costume in Captain America 2: Winter Soldier, and Captain America 3: Civil War.

My drawing is sort of a mashup of the best elements of all those versions.

I have that movie on DVD and I totally forgot they gave her that costume :XD: I haven't watched it in a while but  I know they changed up a few of their costumes like Hawkeye trying to get them closer to their classic comic looks and further from the horrible Ultimate Marvel ones they went with originally.

I loved Ultron but I thought it sucked they had to kill Quicksilver because of Fox still owning the rights to him and mutants in general.

As much as I loved Civil War I was disappointed in how they portrayed Zemo near the end as being suicidal. I hope they bring him back and have him form the Masters of Evil and lead into Wonder Man being introduced finally.

Great depiction, Bryan. Just out of curiosity, are there any issues with you selling your version of a licensed Marvel character? Same goes for T-shirts and such, I see a lot of artists with their take on licensed characters and selling them. Just curious, not a Trademark lawyer. Cheers.

Never had any such problem. I am not a Trademark Lawyer either, but (as I understand it)... the difference is, that I'm only selling one original "fan art" drawing, which is only "my unofficial interpretation" of the character. I'm not even including the Spiderman Logo on the original art piece that is for sale. I'm not using this drawing to print and sell it on T-shirts or other mass produced, licensed merchandise.

Besides, the amount of money Marvel would have to pay their lawyers, to claim whatever pittance I will make selling fan art (IF my drawings sell)... would make it negligible for them to even bother pursuing.

Thanks!! I kinda did my own version of her costume. Mixing details from different movie versions. I think her costume looks best overall, in Captain America 2: Winter Soldier... But I love those glowing blue lines on her Avengers 2 costume. So I just mixed em up.
